A LITTLE ABOUT US (in a nutshell)…

We have three children, DeVin (25), Sami (22) and Mason (15).  We are also grandparents to a granddaughter Lamija (pronounced Lu-mee-uh) and a grandson Triston.

We are FUR BABY parents to our Gus Gus.

Aside from photography, we enjoy traveling, cooking, BBQing (especially with the Traeger) and entertaining in our home. We recently did a pretty big remodel in our home SUMMER 2018 and LOVE the transformation in our space. Bright, Zen & Calm.

HOW WE MET…

Kenny walked into the church we ended up marrying in, Easter 2004. I was nervous and shy and he was confident and ready to dive in. Truth be told, our true personalities are reversed of how it was when we met, but whatever he did…it worked!

From our first kiss (we haven’t stopped laughing since) to saying I Do, to becoming an instant family and adding one more to becoming grandparents. It’s not always easy, but choosing JOY has been what has kept us going all these years.

HOW WE GOT INTO PHOTOGRAPHY…

Photography fell into my lap as a single mother. I prayed for something in my life to be available to me to make some extra income to support my son and I, but not take away time from him. One day, I could just take photos. Maybe the gift had always been there, but not realized? It has been a process of learning that I have thoroughly LOVED for almost 20 years in business. Fun fact…when I first started the business, it was called Peekaboo Portraits after my son’s nickname. When I got married, Kenny said he was absolutely not going to answer the phone with that name LOL. So that is how the name MK Images came about.

We have enjoyed photographing our wonderful clients for the past almost 14 years together and look forward to many more.
